A highlight package for the Austin Aries vs Baron Corbin match is shown next. Aries got the win after a roll up from behind on Corbin.
Backstage after the match, Aries says he is the most polarizing man in professional wrestling. Some people like him and some people head him. He couldn’t careless about any of that. Corbin didn’t respect him, but after tonight he has no choice but to. If you like him or hate him, you are going to have to get used to him. He isn’t going anywhere for a long time.
Cathy Kelly notes that even though Corbin lost the match he still managed to make a huge impact after winning the André the Giant Memorial battle royal at WrestleMania.
Highlights for the NXT title match are up next. NXT champion Finn Bálor faced off with challenger Samoa Joe. Bálor managed to keep Joe down for a three count after Joe locked in the coquina clutch and Bálor flipped him over into a pinning combination.
Backstage after the match Bálor says that Joe is a monster that just keeps on coming. His match against Joe was a war. He has no idea how much he can give to stop Joe from coming forward. He may still be NXT champion, but he didn’t win, he merely survived.
They attempted to interview Joe after this but Joe just walked away.
