Zoey Stark Comments On WWE Exit

Zoey Stark is looking forward to getting back in the ring.

Stark was one of more than 20 people let go by WWE last week. WWE did not give a reason for each talent’s departure, but a new post by Zoey Stark seems to indicate that WWE chose to let her contract expire rather than cutting her and activating the non-compete clause in her contract.

Stark posted the following on Twitter/X, sharing that she is waiting 85 days to wrestle again. Stark was informed of her status on April 24, which started the 90-day period.

“Man I miss wrestling. I guess I can wait 85 more days,” Zoey Stark wrote on Twitter/X.

A recent report from Fightful (via Fightful Select) clarified (through lawyer Michael Dockins) that WWE talent who departed the company last week are not under 90 day non-competes, and they are still under contract for this period. This is the 90-day “right of termination and requisite notice,” while NXT talent have a 30-day notice.

Stark also wrote a longer message on Friday, thanking WWE, as well as her fans, coaches and colleagues for her time in the company.

“Thank you WWE, you made a young girls dream come true. You could not have been better and more supportive during my healing and I will be forever grateful. Thank you to all the girls in the back, the producers, camera men you were all incredibly kind and gracious. And a special Thank you to Terry Taylor and Coach Bloom for teaching me so much and being a shoulder to lean on. Its just the end of this chapter and the beginning of a new one. Falling Foward, onward and upward with God’s plan,” Stark wrote.

According to recent reports, Stark was medically cleared to return to in-ring action before her release. This detail became the focal point of Bully Ray’s recent criticism about WWE’s latest round of talent cuts.
