Cora Jade shared a special moment with CM Punk.
Following CM Punk’s return to WWE, Cora Jade shared a clip in which she met him years before she even became a wrestler.
Jade made her return to NXT at NXT Deadline, the same night that CM Punk appeared in an NXT ring.
In an NXT Deadline Exclusive, Cora Jade was asked about CM Punk’s return and appearance at NXT Deadline.
“I’ll be honest, it’s only fitting that The Best in the World and the Best in NXT returned to NXT on the same night,” Jade said. “In all seriousness, I will say, he’s my all-time favorite wrestler, and this could be a perfect day. It’s also my five-year anniversary of being a professional wrestler.”
CM Punk interrupted and told Jade he was proud of her. He also said April, seemingly referring to his wife, AJ Mendez, was proud of her, too.
“Look at me. Legit, I’m proud of you,” CM Punk said. “You should be very proud of yourself. Often, I feel like I need to be stepping on the gas, and I don’t stop and smell the roses. So you should do that. This is your house now. You should be very proud of yourself, and April’s proud of you too.”
Punk then hugged Jade and again told her he was proud of her. He told Jade to be herself, and after he left, Cora noted that his approval was all she needed.
