A new year means new goals for Raquel Rodriguez.
Since returning to WWE television in October 2024, Raquel Rodriguez has primarily served as an enforcer and tag partner to Liv Morgan. Naturally, Rodriguez is now eyeing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which she’s held with Morgan twice before. As revealed on the Battleground Podcast, though, those aren’t the only titles that Rodriguez is looking at.
“I definitely want to win the women’s tag team championship titles again with my girl Liv [Morgan], so that we can be three-time women’s tag team champs. That’s a goal for sure that hopefully we’re going to start pursuing soon,” Rodriguez said.
“I think to win a championship on my own too is definitely a goal that I have for 2025. I think I’ve have started off the year right. We’ve come a long way from this past year, so I think that’s what’s looking into my future, whether that be the Intercontinental Championship, the US Championship, the Women’s World Championship, the WWE Women’s Championship. We have so many options now with all these titles going around so that’s definitely what I’m looking forward.”
Representation Is Another Goal For Raquel Rodriguez
Championships aside, Rodriguez also wants to be an inspiration for the Latino community.
“[Another goal is] developing just into a bigger and badder Raquel that’s just representing all of the Latinos in Texas and the Latinas that are just looking to have someone of their color representing them and their state,” Rodriguez said.
Overall, Rodriguez believes this year will yield many surprises. No matter what they are, though, she feels ready for them.
“I’m really trying not to like figure out what those surprises are,” she said. “I want to be surprised, but we can all be surprised together.”
