Dragon Lee Removes His Mask And Gives It To A Fan

Apart from WWE, Lucha Libre is one of the popular wrestling promotions. In fact, it is the only promotion that the Stamford-based promotion openly references on live television. Also, Lucha Libre has groomed a plethora of wrestlers who then made it big in the Stamford-based promotion. Some of the most notable names are Rey Mysterio, Andrade El Idolo (f.k.a Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas), Sin Cara, Gran Metalik, Kalisto, Eddie Guerrero, and many more. One such talent who is now part of the list is Dragon Lee.

Prior to signing with WWE, the 28-year-old Luchador had competed in top wrestling promotions such as AAA Lucha Libre, Ring of Honor, and All Elite Wrestling. Although, he only competed in the Jacksonville-based promotion once.

Dragon Lee made an impact as soon as he made his debut on WWE television. He first showed up on the Black and Gold brand NXT earlier this year. On a few occasions, he even got to compete for the NXT North American Championship. But unfortunately, he was unable to capture the title. It is safe to say that the WWE management was impressed with Dragon Lee’s performance in NXT as he was quickly called up to the main roster. He is officially part of the SmackDown brand. He had an undefeated streak on the Blue Brand up until a couple of weeks ago at the Survivor Series WarGames Premium Live event. It was a match against former LWO member, Santos Escobar.

Recently a video emerged on social media featuring Dragon Lee. In the video, he was seen removing his mask in public (while covering his face with a towel), to give it to one of his fans. It was a very touching moment. The clip is from 2021.

Do you think Dragon Lee is a future WWE Champion?
