Gunther says his time is now.
“The Ring General” has officially made history in his reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. He broke The Honky Tonk Man’s record for the longest title reign. The powerhouse has held the gold for over 454 days. A number of legends have held the title over the years, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Triple H, and more.
In an interview with Essentially Sports, Gunther was asked about the previous titleholders. He made it clear that he lives in the present, and his time is now.
“I don’t live in the past. Everybody, they all had their runs, it’s my time now,” he said.
