Early last week, Lisa Marie Varon (formerly known as Victoria) shared a heartfelt message to Trish Stratus. The WWE Hall of Famer has now responded to the post.
At the WWE Payback Premium Live Event Trish Stratus faced Becky Lynch in a heated match. Lynch ultimately emerged victorious in the hard-fought battle.
During the match, the seven-time WWE Women’s Champion paid homage to one of her biggest rivals and best friend Lisa Marie Varon. She did so by hitting the Widow’s Peak signature move.
The Vicious Vixen praised her friend and mentioned that she was in tears after seeing the tribute.
“Alright, this is my second time doing this video. Because I already broke down in tears and I’m going to break down in tears again. I just want to say thank you Trish… doing the Widow’s Peak on the show Payback. I’m so proud of you. I love you so much, you’re so important to me, and gosh our history man! Holy Moly! The story is… Oh gosh! But I just want to say I love you so much and thank you! Big kisses,” Varon said.
Trish Stratus replied to the video by thanking Varon. She mentioned that Victoria is a legend in the business and certainly deserves all the praise and respect.
“I love you sis. If there’s anyone who deserves her flowers it’s you. You are a legend… you are one of the very best in the business. I will be forever proud of the foundation work we did You broke barriers with both #Victoria and #Tara. You crazy #WidowsPeakFreak!!!!” – Trish Stratus wrote.
The WWE Hall of Famer also thanked Becky Lynch after their match.
