Trish Stratus kicked off the show this past Saturday night at the WWE Payback Premium Live Event. There, she wrestled Becky Lynch inside a steel cage. During the match, the Hall of Famer paid homage to one of her biggest rivals, Lisa Marie Varon (popularly known as Victoria) by hitting her signature move the Widow’s Peak.
This tribute caught the eye of Victoria, and she instantly got emotional. She took to X to share her joy in seeing Trish Stratus paying tribute to her.
“I can’t tell you how happy this made me. I am so honored. Thank you @trishstratuscom for being such a huge and inspiring friend. I love you so much,” Lisa tweeted.
Following the tweet, the two-time WWE Women’s Champion shared a heartfelt video message thanking Stratus. In the post, Victoria revealed that she got extremely emotional and broke down in tears.
“Alright, this is my second time doing this video. Because I already broke down in tears and I’m going to break down in tears again. I just want to say thank you Trish… doing the Widow’s Peak on the show Payback. I’m so proud of you. I love you so much, you’re so important to me, and gosh our history man! Holy Moly! The story is… Oh gosh! But I just want to say I love you so much and thank you! Big kisses,” Varon said.
Despite all her efforts, Trish Stratus was unable to get the victory. ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch finally got her revenge and defeated Stratus.
