This third of four segments from Chair Shot Reality takes a look at Ryback and Joey Styles who are both officially gone from WWE. Here’s some highlights of the conversation:
Justin LaBar:
I interviewed Ryback once and I took away how passionate he is for wrestling. I hope he finds success. I think his run with WWE had some fault on them with positions they put him in too fast in emergency cause of injuries and such. I’m also feeling Ryback probably had his faults too. I have a hard time forecasting his future. When a Cody Rhodes leaves WWE, he’s from one of the greatest families ever and you know he’s going to be back in WWE in some capacity some day. He just will. Ryback doesn’t have the same cards. The bulk of the audience that keeps the indy scene alive in wrestling is the IWC Wrestling fans and most of them aren’t fans of Ryback. That could play into favor for him to be a good heel but it could also be short lived and promoters don’t feel he’s worth the money he will ask. I wish him the best but I’m not sure where he will be this time next year. Best thing Ryback has going is he’s visually impressive when you see him so he’s television friendly. ROH, Lucha Underground, TNA, New Japan…anybody who has TV he could be a value to.
