Steve Maclin Returns To Training After TNA Sacrifice Injury Scare

Steve Maclin has taken a significant step forward following his injury scare at TNA Sacrifice, offering a promising update just days after concern surrounded his status.

The update came on April 8, when Maclin shared a photo of himself back in the ring — a development that suggests the situation may not have been as dire as first feared.

Maclin revealed he had resumed training after a two-week absence. The TNA star wrote, “I got back in the ring today for the first time in 2 weeks under Ace’s supervision… You might have dropped me but you CAN’T FU**KING KILL ME.”

The message reflected both relief and resilience — a fitting response after a scare that briefly stopped the show.

The incident occurred during the main event of TNA Sacrifice on March 27, when Maclin challenged Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship.

A heavy superkick to the jaw caused Maclin to collapse. This sequence prompted referee Alice Lane to throw up the “X” sign and halt the match immediately.

Medical personnel quickly intervened, and the bout was ruled a no-contest. However, subsequent evaluations brought positive news. TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed that Maclin passed all neurological and physical tests, with no concussion or long-term injury detected.

Although described as “banged up,” Maclin was cleared and even considered for appearances shortly after the event. His quick return to training now reinforces that timeline — proving this setback may have been more of a bump in the road than a career detour.

With TNA already moving forward with Eddie Edwards as the next challenger for Santana, Maclin’s path back into the title picture remains to be seen. Still, his return to the ring suggests he’s far from counted out. If anything, he’s already kicking out at one.
