It appears things are going smoothly for Trey Miguel following his knee injury.
Miguel was in action at TNA Rebellion, where he defended his International Championship against Mustafa Ali. During the match, Miguel suffered a broken patella but somehow pushed through to complete it.
TNA later confirmed on the April 23 episode of iMPACT that Trey Miguel had sustained a knee injury and announced he would be out of action for some time. However, his recovery appears to be progressing well, based on an update he shared on his Instagram Stories.
“I just wrapped up with ortho. Everything went well, and I got to see my X-ray. It’s a non-displaced fracture, which means I won’t need surgery. As long as I keep my knee straight, it should heal 100%,” Miguel said.
“I start PT in two weeks. It shouldn’t take more than two or three sessions before I can self-assess based on the pain levels I’m experiencing and try to get my knee bending on my own.
“They said it’ll probably be about 10 weeks before I can get back to moving around in the ring. It will be three weeks this Saturday, so we still have a bit of a journey ahead, but everything went smoothly today.
“I also got a smaller brace, which feels better on my knee. That’s pretty much it for today. We’re going to be all right.”
WrestleZone will provide TNA iMPACT results coverage later tonight.
