Popular Rapper Lil Yachty Appears With Top WWE Star on SmackDown

The April 3, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown featured rapper Lil Yachty as he made a surprise appearance with Trick Williams, getting a huge reaction from the crowd.

WWE has been talking with Lil Yachty about working together for a long time. Nothing is confirmed yet. However, it looks like his role could go beyond just one appearance and maybe even continue until WrestleMania 42.

Celebrities showing up at WrestleMania has become pretty common. Last year, Travis Scott made headlines with his controversial involvement during John Cena’s heel turn. Now, Yachty adds a new twist to this year’s event.

This moment had been building for weeks. Williams had invited Yachty during an interview on ESPN’s First Take, and now the rapper finally showed up in St. Louis to support him as he aims for the United States Championship.

Williams walked out to his entrance music with Yachty. The rapper hyped the fans up with “What” chants each time the crowd chanted, “Whoop that Trick.” Yachty praised Williams, congratulated him for reaching WrestleMania 42, and talked about the massive scale of the event. He said it’s where stars become legends and that Williams is a legend in the making.

Feeling confident, Williams asked Yachty to join him at WrestleMania 42, and the rapper said, “I thought you’d never ask.” This suggests he might be sticking around WWE for more appearances.

Williams then taunted Sami Zayn by naming some ginger food items. Yachty enjoyed it and hyped Williams by saying, “Get him.” He said he liked how disrespectful the SmackDown star is in WWE.

Williams then asked for Sami Zayn’s entrance pyro to be played. The arena lit up even though Zayn wasn’t there yet.

Soon after, Zayn came out. The champion didn’t seem impressed. He said flashy entrances and celebrities don’t matter once the match starts. He made it clear he is focused on winning and promised to “humble” Williams at WrestleMania.

Then, Carmelo Hayes joined the segment and shook things up again, demanding another shot at the United States Championship, saying he deserved it after carrying SmackDown. The crowd also backed Hayes.

At first, Zayn didn’t want to defend his title before WrestleMania. But he ultimately accepted a match against Hayes on SmackDown, with the winner set to face Williams at WrestleMania 42.

The segment ended with Zayn knocking Williams out of the ring after things ramped up.
