Chris Jericho recently returned to AEW, and fans noticed the change almost instantly. His new look stood out in a big way. Even a former WWE personality could not ignore it at all.
Jericho came back after staying away from AEW for almost a year. Before his return, many believed he might leave the company for good. Some fans thought he was heading back to WWE soon.
Reports suggested many within AEW expected him to return very soon. Maybe they expected him to show up on Dynamite. But at the same time, Dave Meltzer also said something very different. They did not expect him back anytime soon.
And then it happened on AEW Dynamite in a big moment. Tony Schiavone stood in the ring and looked ready to begin. MJF and Kenny Omega were part of the segment. It was supposed to be a major contract signing moment.
But suddenly, everything changed in an instant. Jericho’s music hit loudly across the arena. “Judas” played and fans reacted immediately. He walked out slowly and took his time. Then he stood in the ring without saying anything at all. Then he finally spoke to the crowd. His message was short and very simple. “Winnipeg… AEW… I’m home.”
Jericho had been away from AEW TV since April 2025. For months many expected his deal to end and move on. Some believed he would go back to WWE for a final run. That kind of talk was everywhere at that time. But things clearly changed after his surprise return.
Jonathan Coachman says Chris Jericho looks ‘refreshed’ after AEW return
Jonathan Coachman shared his thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter. He reacted to a fan post about Jericho’s new look. A fan wrote, “Chris Jericho looks fantastic #AEWDynamite.” It was a simple message but gained attention quickly.
Coachman agreed with that opinion very strongly. He wrote, “I love when guys who are off tv for a long time come back in the best shape possible. And Jericho has abs. Looks younger. Looks refreshed. Lead story tomorrrow.”
That reaction said a lot about Jericho’s return. He made an impact not just by returning. He also impressed fans with how he looked physically. Jericho also recently trademarked the term “Cornerstone” for himself.
That move quickly got many fans talking online. Some think he may introduce a new gimmick soon. Now that he is back, anything feels possible again.
