Chris Jericho Returns on AEW Dynamite with Four-Word Message

Chris Jericho made a surprise return on the April 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, halting a major in-ring segment before it could even begin. The moment came without warning, shifting the show’s focus in an instant.

The show opened with Tony Schiavone preparing to host a contract signing between MJF and Kenny Omega for their upcoming AEW Dynasty match.

However, before either competitor could make their entrance, Jericho’s music hit, bringing the segment to a standstill — and the crowd to its feet.

Appearing in his hometown of Winnipeg, Jericho walked to the ring to a strong reaction that continued for several minutes.

He stood in the ring, soaking in the moment, as the planned contract signing was put on pause. For a return that had been rumored but not confirmed, the timing landed like a well-placed surprise — no build, just impact.

After allowing the reaction to settle, Jericho delivered a brief message: “Winnipeg… AEW…. I’m home.” With that, the segment effectively ended, and Jericho exited, leaving the originally scheduled contract signing to resume afterward.

This marked Jericho’s first appearance on AEW programming since April 2025. He last competed at AEW Dynasty and lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido. Following that, he stepped away from television, including time spent touring with his band, Fozzy.

In recent months, there had been speculation about his future, including expectations that he might depart AEW. However, his return suggests that he remains part of the promotion moving forward.

With AEW Dynasty approaching and multiple storylines already in motion, Jericho’s return adds another layer to the landscape. For now, he’s back in the mix — and as always, he’s found a way to put himself right in the spotlight without saying much at all.
