‘F*ck ICE’ Chant at AEW Dynamite Gets Mainstream Media Coverage

The anti-ICE chant that broke out during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite is getting some mainstream media coverage.

The February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite from Las Vegas, Nevada, featured a match between World Champion MJF and Brody King. Before the referee called for the bell to start the contest, the fans in the Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort erupted with a loud “F*** ICE” chant.

Brody King has been critical of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement before and has even sported an “Abolish ICE” shirt at AEW Grand Slam Mexico last year. He was seen nodding in approval as the fans continued with the chant.

Now, the clip of the fan chant from this week’s AEW Dynamite has since gone viral on social media. Apart from that, the incident is also garnering mainstream media attention, with outlets like NBC News, TMZ, and others covering it.

AEW World Champion MJF looked visibly surprised as the fans continued to chant. The referee, Bryce Remsburg, might’ve also hinted that he intentionally let the chants go on for a while before starting the match.

Brody King made quick work of MJF in the match, defeating the AEW World Champion in 1:17 minutes. With the victory, King has earned a title shot at Grand Slam Australia on February 14.

Several wrestling personalities have shared their thoughts about the ICE operations, including AEW star Andrade. WWE Hall of Famer and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura also touched upon the subject during a recent interview and shared a very extreme idea to tackle the situation.
