Anti ICE Chant During AEW Dynamite Was Encouraged by Referee

Anti-ICE chants during AEW Dynamite may have been encouraged by a match official.

The main event of last night’s Dynamite featured MJF versus Brody King in an AEW World Championship eliminator match. As the two men waited for the opening bell, the Las Vegas crowd erupted with “F*ck ICE” chants.

A visibly surprised MJF looked at the camera before navigating the arena, seemingly unsure how to react to the unexpected chants. The chants continued for a while before referee Bryce Remsburg signaled for the opening bell.

Remsburg later took to social media, hinting that he may have intentionally let the chants continue before starting the match. The AEW official had a sarcastic response to a clip of the anti-ICE chants from the Dynamite main event.

“It seems like the referee may have waited to ring the bell so these could resonate longer? Oh no. Whoops,” Bryce Remsburg posted.

Remsburg’s apparent admission earned him praise from fans on social media, with one user commending him for “standing up for human rights.” Another fan wrote that the AEW referee “did the right thing.”
