Andrade Sets An Odd Record With His Latest AEW Return

During the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Andrade shocked the world when he confronted Kenny Omega on the show. El Idolo’s comeback in Tony Khan’s promotion was a big surprise for viewers, especially when he recently returned to WWE and initiated his second run.

We have seen many talents jumping from AEW to WWE and vice versa. However, with his most recent return to AEW, Andrade set an odd “record” in the pro wrestling business. The 35-year-old star became the first star to go from WWE to AEW, back to WWE, and back to AEW again.

Andrade’s second run in WWE didn’t witness any major moments. He was only engaged in mid-card rivalries and still managed to deliver some impressive matches. He was also paired for a brief time with Rey Fenix on SmackDown.

Andrade was released by WWE last month, and it has now been confirmed that it was related to multiple Wellness Policy violations.

Andrade’s return to AEW surely generated significant buzz among the audience, and it will be interesting to see how AEW will manage to capitalize on this buzz. Upon his return, “El Idolo” aligned with the Don Callis Family, and it looks like a match with Kenny Omega is in the works.

Andrade commented on the reason for his return with a simple response to the question, “Why is he here?”
