Andrade Comments On His AEW Return

Andrade is back in AEW — but what is he doing there?

Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite marked the 6th anniversary of the show’s debut. Dynamite featured a segment with Kenny Omega, who came to the ring to thank the fans for supporting AEW over the years.

Omega was getting ready to end his speech and say goodbye when the lights suddenly went on. When they came back on, a masked man was standing in the ring with him. The man took off his black mask, revealing himself as Andrade, who had just been released by WWE last month.

Andrade aligned himself with the Don Callis Family, confirming the partnership with a handshake.

Andrade commented on his return on social media, replying to a post from the AEW Twitter/X account, which asked what he’s doing there.

“Business!!” Andrade wrote.

After his return to AEW took place, Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that Andrade signed a new contract with AEW. The outlet noted that he had no non-compete clause with WWE and is now “full-time” with AEW.
