The Undertaker Reacts To Rumor That He Is Banned From Vermont

The Undertaker shot down a bizarre rumor that he’s banned from Vermont.

Local residents had apparently heard that he was barred from entering the state. While this does seem like a baseless rumor, he hasn’t wrestled there since 1996, so there could be some truth to the accusation.

Except, there is not.

The Undertaker spoke to his co-host Matt Lyda on the Six Feet Under podcast and answered some fan questions. One listener asked if Taker was really banned from entering Vermont.

Despite the rumor apparently persisting for years, The Undertaker categorically denied being banned from a state. He questioned whether someone could be banned from a whole state, despite the stupid things he’s done in the past.

“The Great Pancake Caper. Vermont maple syrup pancakes. I’ve never heard that in my life about being banned from Vermont. I am not banned from Vermont and I’m nowhere close to Vermont. And I don’t go to Vermont! I’m not banned.”

“You found that interesting? You thought that I was banned from a whole state! They can’t ban me from a state! I have done many stupid things, but you can’t ban somebody from a state. You can confine somebody to a region or something, but you can’t ban somebody. I can go to Vermont, I can go to Delaware if I wanted to.”

The Undertaker Reveals Why He Rejected WCW

WCW tried to sign The Undertaker, but he turned them down to stay with the WWE.

The Undertaker appeared on his Six Feet Under podcast (H/T to talkSPORT), and explained why he turned down the chance to join WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

“If my situation had been different, if WCW hadn’t told me that I wasn’t going to draw any money, I don’t know what I would have done. I don’t. The fact that they told me: ‘You’re never going to make money,’. That was always the chip that I carried on my shoulder. Even when they called. I remember Nash calling me. He said: ‘I think I can get you this if you want to come down.’

“I was like ‘wow, that’s a lot more money than I’m making right now.’ I thought about it and was like: ‘No.’ That’s what it came down to for me. Vince gave me the opportunity. I just couldn’t do it.”

“I would have made more money. And I would have worked a lot less. I probably would have been in a situation where I would have been welcomed back. Maybe not. But the fact that I stayed, got my a** kicked, we all got ours a***s kicked, and then turned it all around and probably made the greatest comeback ever. It was really rewarding. A lot of people told me: ‘You need to go. You need to take the money.’”
