The feud between Gunther and World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest continues to heat up.
On the July 15th episode of WWE RAW, Gunther and Damian Priest had a heated exchange. Gunther called Priest street trash and criticized how he had been carrying the world title. They briefly brawled, but Gunther escaped.
Gunther kicked off the July 22nd episode of WWE RAW and though he initially teased apologizing, he stood by what he said, as he stated that he meant every word. He again criticized Priest by calling him a pretender and a wannabe.
Priest interrupted, and rather than saying anything, he took the fight to Gunther. They brawled, and officials struggled to separate them.
Gunther and Priest continued to fight backstage, and officials had a difficult time breaking up the brawl.
Priest will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at WWE SummerSlam.
