Hurricane Helms has revealed which WWE legends inspired his Falling Star Bomb.
Between 2003 and 2005, The Hurricane teamed with his “Super Hero In Training” Rosey in the WWE. The pair became WWE Tag Team Champions, and they were a fan-favourite duo in the Ruthless Aggression Era.
They also had a very unique and dangerous-looking finisher called the Falling Star Bomb. It saw Rosey climb to the middle rope, and Hurricane ascended to the top rope. The former WCW star then climbed on the back of his partner, doing a splash from six feet higher than the top rope.
They won many matches with the Falling Star Bomb, and it became a staple of their arsenal. However, Hurricane Helms did it for years before coming to the WWE.
He posted a clip of the move on Twitter. Hurricane Helms explained that Shawn Michaels and Diesel were the inspiration for the move, as Michaels would jump from his seven-foot bodyguard’s shoulders.
He also admitted he used to do the move with his partner in OMEGA, the backyard federation run by the Hardys.
“Shawn and Diesel were the inspiration for the Falling Star Bomb. I originally did this in OMEGA with my “Serial Thrillaz” partner Big Daddy Mike Maverick.”
