In a stunning turn of events tonight, Liv Morgan retained her WWE Women’s World Championship thanks to some unexpected help, and then shocked the crowd by kissing Dominik Mysterio.
In the main event of Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Morgan defeated Becky Lynch to retain her recently won WWE Women’s World Championship. In a Steel Cage Match that was as every bit hardcore as promised, the ending saw Dominik Mysterio come out to once again try and help Lynch come out on top.
Mysterio opened up the cage door while both women were down, trying to get Lynch to crawl out. The Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh then came out and tried to yell at Mysterio to leave after Damian Priest had asked them all to not get involved.
Mysterio said he couldn’t though, and out came Braun Strowman suddenly. Chasing both Bálor and McDonagh after a brawl earlier in the night, Strowman chased them around the ring before colliding with Mysterio just as Lynch was coming out of the cage, causing Mysterio to slam the door into Lynch and knock her back in.
This allowed Morgan to quickly get up and crawl her way out of the ring. As the show ended, Morgan stopped to look at a clearly angry Mysterio on the ramp, before shocking both Mysterio and the WWE Universe by planting a kiss on him.
