Legado del Fantasma and New Catch Republic are one step closer to WrestleMania.
During the March 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, two qualifying matches occurred to determine which teams from the blue brand would participate in the 6-Pack Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in Philadelphia.
First, LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro battled Legado del Fantama’s Angel and Berto. In the end, Legado was able to hit a double-team finisher on Wilde, allowing Berto to score the pinfall victory to advance.
Later, New Catch Republic’s Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne took on Pretty Deadly in a physical contest. But ultimately, Dunne scored the victory for his team with the Burning Hammer.
As a result, Legado del Fantasma will face New Catch Republic at a later date. The winner of that bout will officially qualify for the 6-Pack Ladder match.
