Former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona wants to be Mick Foley’s final opponent.
Recently, The Hardcore legend pondered over the idea of returning to the ring one last time. Mick Foley spoke about his retirement match on a recent episode of the Foley is Pod podcast. During the episode, the WWE Hall of Famer mentioned that he is thinking about wrestling in his final match on his 60th Birthday. But in order to do so, he needs to lose a lot of weight. He also claimed that he wants his final match to be a Death Match.
“Just to put it out there, Conrad — 60 is right around the corner. I’m thinking of doing one final match for my 60th birthday. Death match,” Foley stated. “I’m not kidding. I think it would be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones [pounds]. And I think it might be fun.”
“If @realmickfoley is really having one last match…and it’s a deathmatch…there is only person who should be his opponent… ME! THE DEATHMATCH KING!” Matt Cardona posted.
Mick Foley also replied by sending a warning to the former WWE Intercontinental Champion asking him to be careful about his wishes.
“Be careful what you wish for…. @themattcardona,” Mick Foley replied.
A fan also recently took to Twitter to ask when the potential match between Matt Cardona and the WWE Hall of Famer would take place. The self-proclaimed Indie God replied by claiming that he is always ready for the fight. But the Hall of Famer would fight when he turns 60 and decided to get in shape.
“When Foley turns 60…if he has the balls and can actually get in shape. Me? I’m #AlwayzReady!” Matt Cardona said.
