2023 was one of the strangest years for the former leader of Schism, Joe Gacy. He recently took to Twitter to share a small update and tease what is in store for him in 2024.
Gacy had kicked off the year as part of one of the biggest factions in NXT. It was the Schism faction. He was the leader of the group. The other members of the team were The Rock’s daughter, Ava Raine, Jagger Reid, and Rip Fowler.
But things were not working well as the faction was not getting the wins that they expected. As time went by, Gacy decided to disband the faction. Both Fowler and Reid’s WWE contracts also expired, and they moved into the independent scene. After that, Gacy told Raine on an episode of NXT that the Schism is dead and bid her farewell.
Ava Raine also took to Twitter to say her final goodbyes to the faction. Since then, the only female member of Schism has seemingly taken up an Assistant General Manager Role. She has been seen outside Shawn Michaels’ office every week and Raine’s also booking matches.
Joe Gacy on the other hand, has been seen creeping around the arena. He lately had set his sights on Joe Coffey. He recently took to Twitter to reflect on the past year. He also said hello to the New Year and also mentioned that he’s thinking about Philadelphia. That’s where WrestleMania 40 is going to take place.
“It’s 2024, I climbed a mountain and then fell off the mountain in 2023. I gained a lot then lost it all. Only up from here hahaha Hello 2024 Joe here telling you I ain’t sorry for what’s about to happen. Thinking about you Philly,” Joe Gacy tweeted.
