Five matches have been announced for next week’s WWE NXT.
Eddy Thorpe and Dijak will look to finish their months-long feud on the last NXT of the year when they meet in a NXT Underground match. Dijak previously beat Thorpe twice in August before Thorpe got a win back in a Strap match in September. Their issues were far from over and Thorpe later cost Dijak the opportunity to win the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline.
The two battled yet again on December 12, but it quickly ended in disqualification once Dijak used the broken turnbuckle and blood poured out. To settle things, they’ll meet in the second NXT Underground match where the winner is determined by knockout or submission. Thorpe won the first of its kind by beating Damon Kemp in June.
Additionally, Noam Dar has agreed to defend his NXT Heritage Cup against Josh Briggs after Briggs pinned Dar in a six-person tag match on December 12. From the women’s division, Cora Jade and Karmen Petrovic will face off following a confrontation in the locker room.
The NXT men’s Breakout tournament will continue next week as well with semi-finals action. Those matches include Oba Femi vs. Tavion Heights and Lexis King vs. Riley Osborne. The winners of those bouts will later meet in the tournament finals.
