The first and only WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion is Rhea Ripley. She is the one that seems to be holding The Judgment Day together. Over the past few months, her relationship with the NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio seems to be getting more spicy.
Last night on WWE NXT, the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes showed up to kick off the show with a few ground-breaking announcements. One of the announcements was that he would be the guest General Manager of the night.
As Rhodes was speaking, out came the newly crowned NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov. The Mad Dragon and The American Nightmare praised each other. As the two were having a special moment, out came Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley.
Dirty Dom challenged Dragunov to an NXT title match. The American Nightmare made the match official but added a little more spice to it. He declared that LA Knight would be the special guest referee.
The match was a brutal affair. During the match, Dominik Mysterio gave Dragunov one of the most vicious chops of all time. Upon seeing the move being executed, the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion was having the time of a life. When a fan pinpointed her reaction during the spot, she replied by demanding that she wanted the NXT North American Champion to slap her like that too.
“Slap me like that @DomMysterio35,” Rhea Ripley tweeted.
Towards the end of the match, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and even Rhea Ripley tried to interfere in the match. But all their efforts to help Dominik Mysterio become a double champion were in vain. The Mad Dragon hit the Torpedo Moscow and pinned Dirty Dom to retain his championship.
