Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has been part of the company for a short while. In that time, she has become one of the top stars in NXT.
Recently, Stratton was interviewed by Steve Fall for WrestlingNews.co. During the interview, Stratton discussed everything about her professional wrestling career. One of the main topics that she addressed was why her ‘Daddy’s little princess’ gimmick abruptly came to an end. She stated that it was mainly because there was no one to portray the role of her Daddy.
“In the beginning, I was kind of like Daddy’s little rich girl. I kind of just was like, I want to get on TV. And, you know, this was kind of like, new and different, I guess. So I pitched it. It stuck. And it works for a little bit until they’re like, we don’t have a daddy for you. So you’re not daddy’s little rich girl,” Tiffany Stratton said.
Stratton also mentioned that she herself did not think about having a ‘daddy’ in WWE NXT.
“We never got that far. We never really [thought] it out. So that’s why I think it got scraped. But eventually, the character my big inspo was Sharpay Evans from High School Musical. I think she’s an icon.”
Tiffany Stratton’s real inspiration is Paris Hilton
While speaking in the same interview, Tiffany Stratton mentioned that one of her biggest inspirations in life was Paris Hilton.
“And then Paris Hilton has always been like a big inspiration with like, the fashion, the gears, the clothes I wear, the way I wear my hair or my makeup. But I would say those two are definitely the big inspirations for my character. But you know, slowly my character has kind of just evolved into who I am. And just a little bit turned up.”
The Buff Barbie recently lost her NXT Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch. She will be getting her rematch at the No Mercy Premium Live Event in an Extreme Rules match.
