Last night on WWE Raw, the wrestling world was in utter shock as Nia Jax made her return to Monday nights. It seems that her return was subtly hinted at by former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Rodriguez.
The main event of last night’s episode of Raw was a rematch between Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley. The title was on the line again, but Dominik Mysterio was banned from ringside.
In the end, The Eradicator managed to retain her championship. As the match came to an end, Nia Jax showed up and attacked Rhea Ripley. At the end of the night, The Irresistible Force was the one standing tall. This was the first time in several months that The Eradicator was laid out flat in the middle of the ring.
Foreshadowing
Jax’s return came as a surprise to many but it was seemingly hinted at earlier in the night.
Rodriguez spoke with Byron Saxton ahead of her title rematch against Ripley. The former NXT Women’s Champion mentioned Ripley has been one of the most dominant superstars and many people were scared of her. She added that she’s not like most people. That particular line was very similar to the opening phrase from Nia Jax’s original theme song.
“I’m not like most people,” Raquel Rodriguez said.
It seems that it was a hint, at least in hindsight.
The Irresistible Force seems to have already added herself to the Women’s World Title picture. Will Rhea Ripley be able to keep hold of her championship or will Jax be the one to dethrone Mami? Only time will tell.
