WWE is reportedly interested in bringing FTR back to the company.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select wrote that the company has internally expressed its interest in the prospect of bringing back Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, formerly known as The Revival. The duo left WWE in 2020 after a successful run in the promotion; they won the tag titles on all three brands. Due to creative frustration, the two stars opted not to re-sign with the company, even when they were offered “huge deals” in 2019. They signed with All Elite Wrestling and debuted the month after they departed WWE.
Ross Sapp noted that FTR’s contracts with AEW are technically up this summer, but the company has an option year on the dup. He noted that an update on their contracts should be coming soon. Because they are still signed, WWE can’t approach the two men directly.
Update: Ross Sapp later wrote that AEW informed Fightful that FTR still has a year left on their contracts.
FTR is widely considered to be one of the best tag teams in the wrestling world right now. They currently hold the AAA and ROH Tag Team Championships, and they previously held the gold in AEW.
