Kenny Omega had a list of demands ahead of his upcoming title defense at TripleMania, but Konnan isn’t having any of it. Omega is set to defend his AAA Mega Championship against Andrade El Idolo at Triplemanía XXIX and a video aired of Andrade and Konnan being interrupted by Omega and his right (invisible) hand man, Don Callis. Kenny goes on to say how he demands Tirantes to officiate the bout between the two but Konnan makes sure that all is legitimate. Don does refer to K-Dogg as a legend, but the two go back and forth with some barbs at one another. Even though Andrade is establishing himself as a heel in AEW, he and Konnan are very much positioned as the babyfaces in this encounter. You can watch the entire video below:
Triplemania will take place on August 14, 2021 at Arena Ciudad de México at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. Omega has held the Mega Championship for over a year and a half after he defeated another AEW colleague in Rey Fenix back in October 2019 at Héroes Inmortales XIII.
