Dave Crist’s impact on IMPACT Wrestling may have been over before word got out about his accusations of sexual misconduct even surfaced.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that talent in the company have stated to him the belief was Crist’s finished tenure with IMPACT was something of a long-time coming. According to his sources, Johnson says that a good deal of the roster has taken a pretty strong stance against him in recent weeks even going as far as not allowing him to dress in the locker room. The belief among talent is that a release announcement wasn’t made before hand perhaps due to the reaction the company could receive releasing someone during the pandemic. IMPACT also hosts both Joey Ryan and Michael Elgin on their roster and no word as to an update on their status with the company, but their parent company Anthem did release a universal statement made on the allegations against some of their talent.
“It is a core value of the Anthem organization that we conduct our business with respect and integrity, providing a safe and secure work environment for our employees and performers. We are following carefully the various allegations being made through social media, and are reviewing all incidents involving IMPACT Wrestling talent and personnel to determine an appropriate course of action.”
Crist was accused by a former girlfriend of abuse in a post shared on Instagram and a trainee under Crist shared her story of receiving lewd pictures of him as he tried to groom her for sexual encounters.
