Nick Aldis reclaimed glory as he defeated Cody Rhodes at the NWA 70th Anniversary show to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion for the second time.
Just over a month and a half since losing the title to Rhodes at All In, Aldis waited for this moment to recapture the title that has given him a second wind in his career, beating Rhodes two falls to one in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Aldis will defend his title against Blue Demon, Jr., who was announced as the next challenger during the show.
