Mara Sadè (fka Jakara Jackson) teases a new theme song.
Mara Sadè isn’t just an artist in the ring, but also on a canvas and in the recording studio. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Sadè specifically opened up about her background in music and the help she’s received from another musically-inclined wrestler.
“I’ve been around music all my life for sure. I’d say that most recently, it’s really started to spark up just because of the connects I’ve been able to make,” she said. “A really big motivator in this process was my bestie Nikkita Lyons, because she’s an amazing musical artist. So she was definitely somebody who really, really inspired me to get into it and dabble a little more. One thing led to another and here we are. Again, I’m a creative being, so anything where I can create, I’m on top of the world.”
The “process” in reference centers on the creation of a new theme song for Sadè in her new chapter as a free agent. According to the former WWE NXT star, the wheels for her new theme song began turning on the heels of her release from WWE last month.
Regarding the vibes of the yet-to-be-released tune, Sadè confirmed that it’d be upbeat, with the added sound of her own voice.
“It’s definitely upbeat. Listen, it’s going to have the people chanting,” she said. “It’s definitely going to get people up out their seats. People are going to be surprised because I don’t believe anybody’s truly heard my voice before. So when they see this other side of me, I think it’s going to be lit. It’s a bop.”
