MJF survived the beating of a lifetime against Bryan Danielson and he’s finally opening up about the experience.
At Revolution 2023, the reigning AEW World Championship put his title on the line against the American Dragon in a 60-minute Iron Man Match. The match turned out to one of the most violent displays of the night as both MJF and Danielson pelted extreme punishment on each other.
The champion and the challenger bled buckets, taking the score to 3-3 before the clock struck 60. The brutality continued for another eight minutes and saw MJF defeat Danielson with his own LeBell Lock to retain the AEW World Championship.
The Devil Himself recently replied to a Twitter post that featured a shot of he and Danielson bathed in blood at the top of the turnbuckle, with the American Dragon ready to drop his stiff elbow strike on MJF’s neck.
MJF said he “died and came back to life like three times” during the match, adding that those 68 minutes were the “most excruciatingly painful/exhausting/rewarding/cathartic/barbaric of my entire life.”
MJF says he didn’t attack Jay White on AEW Dynamite
MJF kicked off WrestleDream with a promo on the Righteous. The AEW World Champion took on Vincent and Dutch in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at the October 1st PPV event.
Before the match, Maxwell ditched the Righteous before claiming he didn’t attack Jay White on the September 27th edition of Dynamite. The AEW World Champion said someone stole his mask and made it look like he attacked the Bullet Club Gold member.
MJF would go on to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship against the Righteous in their fun 10-minute opener.
