The WWE Mixed Match Challenge Begins, Opening Results

Season Two of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge has officially begun with both Raw and SmackDown brands having matches tonight on Facebook Live.

This year’s format was a departure from last year’s, switching the single-elimination format with round-robin blocks between the red and blue brands respectively. In the opening night of the tournament, the team of Monster Eclipse – composed of Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss‘s replacement, Ember Moon – defeated Team Pawz (Kevin Owens and Natalya):

The SmackDown Match had the married duo of Day One Glow (Jimmy Uso & Naomi) against Fenominal Flair (AJ Styles & Charlotte Flair) in the main event. Styles and Charlotte would win in a fairly entertaining match between the fan favorite teams:

Next week will have the Legit Dominance pairing of Bobby Lashley and Sasha Banks against Mahalica’s Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox and the Fabolous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella) will face the defending MMC Champions, Awe-Ska (The Miz and Asuka):
