WWE announced today via Billboard that Kid Rock will be the next inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The induction ceremony takes place on Friday, April 6th as part of Wrestlemania week in New Orleans and will air live on the WWE Network.
The 47 year old musician grew up a big WWE fan in Michigan, and following his success in music created a bond with the world’s top wrestling company with his music being used as the soundtrack for numerous events including this year’s Wrestlemania. Rock performed at Wrestlemania 25 in Houston, Texas.
Rock joins Goldberg, the Dudley Boys, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, and Hillbilly Jim in this year’s class of HOF inductees. He follows previous celebrity honorees who have had relationship with WWE like Mr. T, Drew Carey, Mike Tyson, and Donald Trump.
