NXT Championship Match: Andrade “Cien” Almas (c) w/Zelina Vega vs Johnny Gargano

Almas and Gargano trade holds. Gargano locks in a top wrist lock. Almas counters into a waist lock. Gargano manages to escape. Gargano takes Almas down with a head scissors. Almas gets to his feet. Almas takes Gargano down with a shoulder block. Gargano tries a leapfrog but Almas avoids it. Almas tries the Hammerlock DDT but Gargano counters. Almas retreats to the corner. Flying head scissors by Gargano. Flying arm drag by Gargano. Gargano holds on and locks in an armbar. Almas whips Gargano into the corner. Gargano tries a tip up but Almas puts on the breaks. Almas levels Gargano with a stiff chop. Gargano drops to the mat. Gargano manages to catch Almas with a diving head scissors of the top rope. Almas falls to the outside. Gargano misses a kicks. Alms pulls Gargano off the apron and tries a moonsault off the apron. Gargano moves gets on the apron and superkicks Almas. Almas tries his diving senton off the apron but Almas moves out of the way. Gargano hits the floor with a sickening thud. Gargano’s wife Candice Lerae is watching from the crowd in horror.

Almas bring Gargano back into the ring and gets a near fall. Gargano whips Almas into the ropes. Almas goes Tranquillo. Alms tries to kicks Almas out of the ropes but Almas grabs Gargano and locks in a dragon sleeper using the ropes. The referee forces Almas to break the hold. Alms puts Gargano in deep side headlock. Gargano turns a suplex attempt into his roll through kick. Almas tricks Gargano into the tree of woe. Almas goes up top but misses his double foot stomp. Gargano belly-to-belly suplexes Almas into the turnbuckle. Almas and Gargano trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Gargano lands a diving compete shot for a long two count. Slingshot spear by Gargano. Almas kicks out yet again. Gargano tries a head scissors but Alams reveres it into a facebuster for another near fall.
