Goldberg, Paul Heyman and Rusev In-Ring Segment:
Goldberg was about to talk about his upcoming match in three weeks with Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman comes out on the stage to interrupt Goldberg. Ladies and Gentlemen, his name is Paul Heyman and his client is not appreciative of the WWE Universe chanting the name of Goldberg. The Hartford crowd starts chanting Goldberg. Heyman goes on record and says that Hartford is starting to piss him off. Now Heyman has all the respect in the world for Goldberg. Heyman knows that he’s not a physical threat to Goldberg, but however he feels comfortable stepping into the ring because, surely Mr. Goldberg doesn’t think Heyman just came out of here without any significant back up. Right?
Heyman says that he’s going to make Goldberg happy. Not only is Heyman’s client a beast, but he’s an impatient beast. Goldberg is 1-0 against his client, but Brock Lesnar ended the streak of The Undertaker. Brock Lesnar has decided not to wait for November 20th because he wants to go face to face right now. Paul Heyman introduces Brock Lesnar. Lesnar music hits, but he doesn’t show up. Gotcha Goldberg. Heyman points out the disappointment on the face of Goldberg’s son. Heyman says that Goldberg’s son is going to be disappointed when his client destroys his father at Survivor Series. Goldberg gets in Heyman’s grill. Heyman backs away and says that he’s only an advocate.
Rusev comes down to the ring. Rusev wants to know who the hell Goldberg thinks he is? Goldberg thinks he’s a super hero, but Rusev isn’t buying it. Goldberg is not a super hero because there’s no super hero’s. Goldberg hasn’t been in this ring for a very long time. Rusev says that carnage Goldberg displayed in WCW. He knows that Goldberg has two vicious moves, the jack hammer and the spear, but by looking at Goldberg, he doesn’t think Goldberg can pull off those moves anymore. Rusev wants to know if Goldberg has the heart? Rusev acknowledges that Brock Lesnar is not here. Rusev is here, he’s the super athlete and calls Goldberg weak. Rusev punches Goldberg in the face, but Goldberg stands still. Goldberg drives his knees to the midsection of Rusev. Goldberg plants Rusev with the Jack Hammer. Goldberg proceeds to Spear Paul Heyman.
