The open to my Wrestling Reality show on TribLIVE Radio talks about too many authority figures in WWE. Here’s an excerpt:
Ever since Austin vs McMahon, pro wrestling, WWE specifically, has been chasing that and feels its a necessity to have authority figures as prominent parts of the show. I know TV and entertainment has evolved. 1992 it was acceptable for Jack Tunney to sit behind a desk and in 2016 we need someone a bit more present. I get that. But at what point does authority figures in both quantity and TV time rival what the actual talent has.
