On how close The Bella Twins were to the terrible attacks that took place in Paris late last week:

RS: The Bella Twins were in Paris when the attacks went on. They were actually a few miles away at a restaurant from where one of the attacks took place. I’m not sure of the exact restaurant. I do know they were only a few miles away from one of the restaurants that was attacked. Where people were actually killed. From what I heard they basically called their driver because they saw military people running through the streets. They saw emergency responders and things like that. General chaos in the streets. They called the driver because they were informed that their hotel was about to go in to lockdown mode. They had to rush in to there with their car and their driver. Rush back to the hotel to be put in to lockdown mode. Which is, man, I know Jeremy Borash was also there and had a similar situation. He had to rush back to his hotel to go in to lockdown mode. I couldn’t imagine how scary that would be. It’s such a sad thing that happened and I couldn’t even imagine being there for it.

On the recent neck surgery that it sounds like Nikki Bella has been putting off.:

RS: Like I said, Nikki Bella is currently on hiatus. Everyone knows. She’s been posting these very vague pictures on Instagram. I’m sure you guys saw them. Saying she was injured and people were wondering what the deal was. Some people thought that maybe she was off because John Cena was off. That she was playing things up. It’s definitely more serious than some people thought. She has these bulging discs in her neck. It’s pushing on her spinal cord and she has all this extra fluid in her central nervous system. Which basically means that taking another bump could have paralized her if she doesn’t fix it before hand. If she doesn’t do something to fix this. So, that’s why she has the time off right now because basically she was worried that… it sounds like a Daniel Bryan situation. Where you could be very injured again if you go in the ring. I know his is concussion but he had similar circumstances for awhile with his neck. Similar to Daniel Bryan she is trying to not do surgery on her neck. Instead she is trying to do constant rehabilitation. She is doing that up to eight times a day. With the hopes that the rehab will be able to fix her neck and fix the problems that she has. So that she can return to the ring. There’s really no time table on when she is going to return.

On what Lai’D Tapa’s ambitions are in the world of MMA:

RS: Lai’D Tapa is prepping for her upcoming MMA debut on SpikeTV. She’s going against Gabby Garcia for Rizin Fighting Federation’s debut show. It’s the same show that has Fedor coming back. It’s in the same arena that PRIDE Fighting Championship used to have it’s shows. It’s a pretty cool honor. She’s been training with American Top Team in Florida. Like a beast. She’s going 2-3 times a day. Two a days, three a days. Each day focusing on different techniques. Sometimes wrestling, sometimes boxing, sometimes muay thai, sometimes sparring, strength… all that kind of stuff. She is adamant about winning. She was telling me what this means to her and how to change for the future. How she actually thinks she has what it takes to be the best female heavyweight MMA fighter in the world. That’s a bold statement.
