The scene backstage at the SmackDown! tapings is similar to that of yesterday at RAW. The agent and production meetings were once again delayed by nearly two hours today. Vince McMahon has called in several changes to the show which caused the delays.
David Lagana, who has been doing most of the writing while Bruce Prichard has been gone, has now started taking time off. Paul Heyman has been involved heavily in the writing of the show.
Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Brian Gerwitz are the three main people backstage handling most of the important things. Obviously, politics are once again being played backstage as was the case yesterday at RAW.
Bruce Prichard returned to Smackdown as well, producing the pre-taped vignettes that run during the course of the show. Many wrestlers are not fond of his style.
