– As we reported on Tuesday night, Randy Savage called TNA officials late Tuesday afternoon and informed Jeff Jarrett that he wasn’t going to arrive for the Impact! tapings as previously scheduled. Savage told Jarrett that he was upset that Hulk Hogan was invited to last Sunday’s Victory Road PPV in Orlando since he has had a very strong grudge with Hogan for many years. He felt the Jarrett’s betrayed him after not informing him ahead of time that Hogan would be backstage. Despite this taking place, Savage has resumed talks with TNA again. However, his return could all depend on if Hogan will be coming in to the promotion, something we will have more on tomorrow.
– Before informing TNA officials that he would not take part in the Impact! tapings on Tuesday, Savage had been written into several segments, including a run-in to close the show. He was scheduled to arrive on Tuesday afternoon as his name was written on the board backstage that informs the workers who they are scheduled to face. Jeff Jarrett was seen on his cell phone with Savage late Tuesday afternoon pacing back and forth trying to get him to come to the show.
– When Hogan entered Soundstage 21 at Universal Studios for Victory Road on Sunday, he bumped into Savage right away. Sources close to the situation said Hogan told Savage something like “Hey bro, you know I’ve always had your back.” Savage then reportedly shot back sarcastically, “Yeah, that check will clear.” Savage then walked away without giving Hogan any eye contact and made sure to avoid him the rest of the night.
– We’ve been told that Savage and TNA worked out a deal late last week and he WILL be at Impact! this week. Don’t be surprised to see a challenge to Hulk Hogan.
