Edge is the latest WWE Superstar to receive his own A&E Biography that is scheduled to debut this Sunday.
The WWE Hall of Famer was a guest on Busted Open Radio this morning with Dave LeGreca and Thunder Rosa to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about getting his own A&E Biography this weekend, “The Rated-R Superstar” stated that the whole situation is surreal.
“It’s surreal,” Edge said. “I mean, especially If my mom were still here, she’d be like an A&E documentary like that’s a thing. That’s legit. It’s surreal. It really is, and then to get the advance and see it and Bret Hart is on there, and [Hulk] Hogan is on there, and Undertaker is on there. And that, to me, is when it really became a little mind-boggling because those are touchstones for me as I’m growing up watching the business and then even more so when I get in the business. So that, to me, is still a really surreal aspect because, at the heart of all of this, I’m still a fan. I still think this is the absolute best gig in the world. It doesn’t get any better than this.”
He went on to describe how it’s hard to believe some of the opportunities that he’s had lately, and he appreciates each and every one.
“It’s the most fun thing you can do, at least for me, and the way my weird mind is wired. So I’m guessing for most of the people that listen to this or on the show, that’s the same thing. I don’t lose track of that. I don’t lose sight of that. And I think, I don’t know, again, the idea of having an A&E documentary and the Toronto Maple Leafs reaching out wanting to do a co-branded t-shirt from Monday at RAW. Those are things that if you told five-year-old Adam were going to happen, I mean; it just doesn’t compute. It doesn’t translate if you tell 17-year-old Adam that it still wouldn’t computer translate. So when you tell a 48-year-old Adam that it still really doesn’t work. I don’t get it sometimes, but I appreciate all of it.”
