The Undertaker has revealed his exact role in the WWE-owned AAA.
The Undertaker has been working backstage with AAA as part of its creative team after WWE acquired the promotion last year. While he never revealed his exact role with the company before, the Hall of Famer admitted that he’s the “Head of Creative” during his appearance on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast.
“I thought I dodged that question. I went all the way around it. That’s why you’re the best. Because I thought I went all the way around it and you would forget that. Oh my gosh! I guess in layman’s terms, I’m the head.” When Chris Van Vliet asked if he didn’t want to give himself a title, The Undertaker said, “You know, it’s great when it’s the El Grande storyline, but as soon as you throw one storyline out there that sucks, and it’s like, ‘Oh my God! He’s horrible. Fire him.’ I guess I’m the head of creative.”
The Undertaker shared his creative vision for AAA
Elsewhere in the interview, The Undertaker noted that his vision for AAA is to offer a product that’s completely different from NXT and the WWE main roster shows.
“My vision is I want us to put out a product that is completely different from NXT. It’s completely different from SmackDown, Raw. I want it to be different from every other wrestling. With me, it’s storytelling, athleticism, and aggression. It’s a process, and everybody’s starting to buy into it and realizing that what we’re doing down there, it’s got the attention of the wrestling community,” The Undertaker said.
