Ryan Garcia wishes WWE had given him a better segment on RAW.
Reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) Welterweight Champion Ryan Garcia made a celebrity appearance on the July 27, 2026, episode of WWE RAW. The promotion put him in a segment with Danhausen, Joe Hendry, and Dominik Mysterio. It ended with Garcia smashing a guitar
across Hendry’s back and celebrating with Mysterio.
Ryan Garcia’s appearance on RAW came ahead of his title defense against Conor Benn on September 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. However, his involvement faced backlash from fans due to his history of racial comments and other controversies. Reports also indicated that several WWE stars didn’t want anything to do with him.
Now, during an interview with ESNews, Ryan Garcia addressed his upcoming fight with Conor Benn and his WWE appearance. Garcia responded to all the haters, saying he chooses to let them talk while he stays grounded and focuses on his training.
“For me, it’s all about staying focused and keeping myself grounded and letting people talk. I know a lot of people are trying to bring me down right now because I got a big opportunity. I got Mexican Independence Day. I was on WWE. Yeah, I hit Joe Hendry with a guitar. I went on Jimmy Fallon. So I understand why people are trying to take me down,” Ryan Garcia said.
“But it’s my job to stay focused and not let it get to me. So really for me, I let people talk. Haven’t really been showing my training because here’s the thing, man, f**k what they think, f**k what they see. I’m gonna come in shape, and I’m gonna beat the s**t out of him,” Garcia said.
Ryan Garcia wished WWE presented him like Floyd Mayweather
The interviewer then said Joe Hendry’s lucky Ryan Garcia only hit him with a guitar. He then pointed out that when boxing legend Floyd Mayweather appeared in WWE back in 2008, he broke The Big Show’s nose with a punch. Garcia replied that that’s the kind of presentation he wished the promotion had given him, saying it might have resulted in less criticism.
“That’s what I wanted. See, I wish they would’ve given me a better segment, because then I wouldn’t have gotten as much hate,” Garcia said.
