WATCH: AEW Star Awkwardly Botches Move On Dynamite

An AEW star had an awkward slip-up during her match on this week’s Dynamite.

Reigning AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion (Lena Kross and Megan Bayne) defended the title against Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander on the April 29 episode of Dynamite. The two teams put on a good performance in the contest that lasted a little over 12 minutes.

However, there was an awkward moment during the match when Megan Bayne botched a move. She and Hikaru Shida traded blows before Bayne picked her up for a powerslam. Unfortunately, she lost her balance during the execution and stumbled back while awkwardly dropping Shida.

The botch didn’t miss the AEW fans’ eyes, who promptly took to social media to talk about it. However, some did note that Megan Bayne played it off well by not acknowledging it.

Despite the slip-up, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross won the match and retained the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship after Kross pinned Hikaru Shida. Divine Dominion has held the championship for 46 days since winning it from the Babes of Wrath at the Revolution PPV in March.

Megan Bayne previously chased the title with Penelope Ford but later formed Divine Dominion with Lena Kross after Ford suffered an injury on the February 25 episode of Dynamite.
