Bubba Ray Dudley offered no words of encouragement for the recently released WWE talent.
During his recent interview with Graham Matthews on WrestleRant, Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley was asked if he had any advice or words of motivation for the recently released WWE LFG talent. While he did put over Season 2’s Haze Jameson, who was released in October 2025, Dudley’s advice for the other talent was that he had none. Season 1 winner Tyra Mae Steele was among the stars the promotion released after WrestleMania 42.
Bubba Ray Dudley had a blunt response, saying the released talent should’ve done better to get themselves over in WWE.
“I give them no advice. They’re gone,” Bubba Ray Dudley began. “There is one talent out there that got let go that I see working hard on her own. In Season 2, we saw Haze Jameson, now known as Pinky Montoya, out there on the independent scene. Nobody knows why she was released, but she’s trying to make it on her own in the indies and try to work her way back, maybe to LFG or to Evolve or to NXT.”

Bubba Ray Dudley says he’s not here to coddle anybody
“But I really don’t have advice for these other talents. Maybe you should’ve taken it more seriously. Maybe you shouldn’t have put your feet up on the table. Maybe you should’ve shook hands. Maybe you should’ve been more polite. Maybe you should’ve busted your a** a little more. Maybe you should’ve cut a better promo. You got five minutes, get over or get out,” Bubba Ray Dudley said.
“This is not a business for boys and girls. It’s a business for men and women. I’m not here to coddle anybody. I’m here to help you sign a contract with the WWE, become a millionaire, make something out of yourself, and help this business thrive into the future,” Bubba Ray Dudley said.
*Matthews clarified that this interview was recorded prior to Friday’s WWE talent releases, and that he was alluding to Bubba’s friction with BJ Ray when asking the question.
