Reason For The Undertaker’s Absence On WWE LFG Revealed

WWE revealed the reason for The Undertaker’s absence on LFG on the Season 3 premiere.

The Undertaker served as a coach in the first two seasons of WWE LFG, with his wife, Michelle McCool, joining in Season 2. However, the promotion replaced both Hall of Famers in Season 3 with Kevin Owens and Natalya. The two current superstars will serve as coaches alongside legends Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley in the new season, which premiered on A&E on Sunday, April 26.

Now, Shawn Michaels confirmed on the first episode that The Undertaker was written off WWE LFG Season 3 due to his commitments with booking AAA shows. The Deadman has been instrumental in AAA’s creative and mentoring talent since WWE acquired the promotion last year.

The Undertaker earned the WWE LFG Championship as the best mentor in Season 1 for having the most team points, and Michelle McCool won it in Season 2. Contestants mentored by the Deadman went on to win the first two seasons of the show, as Tyra Mae Steele won Season 1, along with Jasper Troy (mentored by Booker T), while Shiloh Hill and Dani Sekelsky/Skylar Raye won Season 2. However, the promotion released Steele on April 24.

Apart from revealing the reason for The Undertaker’s absence, Shawn Michaels also revealed that WWE LFG Season 3 will undergo a major format change.
