Brooke Hogan Says Hulk Hogan’s Will Decision Deepened Rift Between Them

Almost a year after the passing of Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke Hogan has shared a very personal story about a decision about Hogan’s will that strained the father-daughter relationship.

Brooke said she chose to remove herself from her father’s will in 2023. She made that choice to avoid money-related issues and because she didn’t trust some people around him. But looking back, she feels it hurt their relationship more than she expected.

Brooke Hogan reflects on fallout from will decision

Speaking on Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Brooke revealed that she thought her decision would lead to a deeper talk with her father, maybe even bring them closer.

“I asked to be taken out of the will, and my dad did it. I think I imagined that there would be some sort of ‘Why?’ or ‘Hey, you’re the only person I trust.’ Like, ‘Let’s talk about it.’ But we had already talked about it,” Brooke said.

Instead, she felt Hulk’s response lacked emotion. What hurt the most was how easily she felt cut off afterward.

“I mean, I was again looking through my text messages at things that I was texting him saying… And it’s funny because in the text messages I’m listening what he said to me about the people around him. And I’m like, ‘You’ve told me this, this, this, and this. Dad, I’m only watching out for you.’ And when I was pigeonholed, that’s what it felt like, and had to make this decision that I felt I had to at the time. It was so upsetting, and it was even more upsetting to see how quickly you could be erased and how much it was like, ‘Okay, cool, F You then,'” Brooke said.

Brooke talked about some tough conversations with her father, where her personal choices were questioned. She felt judged and misunderstood, which showed how distant they had become.

“It was almost like a tit-for-tat thing. And even when we were talking, there were tit-for-tat things. Like I’d be like, ‘Dad, you know, in one of my texts I said- Dad, you know, Heather was a choice. Christian was a choice. Like you can make a new choice. Like let’s try to take this last part of your life and really do it right,'” Brooke said.

She also believes that some people were taking advantage of the situation and that her loyalty didn’t matter as much as others, simply agreeing with him.

“I never wanted anything except my dad’s love and respect,” she said. But she felt that others who supported him blindly had earned them better treatment. “Loyalty got me nowhere,” she added.

The discussion also touched on a documentary about Hogan’s life. Brooke wasn’t really included in it, and she said if that’s true, it only made her feel more left out.
